Robot Wireless Webcam: Redefining Surveillance Methodology

11:30PM. It is a big modern multi-storied office complex. Each floor is lined with unending verandahs and alleys branching on both sides with numerous closed rooms. All stories with a pin drop silence. Only a few overhead lamps are glowing at the junctions.

This building housed the headquarters of ‘Paramount Associates,’ a leading consultancy firm. They were advisors to many multinationals companies about business strategies and marketing management. Obviously, this building confined critical secretes of many leading corporate. Future strategies and plans to overcome the competitors were lying hidden in these rooms.

The working use to end at 07:00PM and it was the order to vacate the premises completely by 07:30PM. By then its main gate use to close and nobody could dare enter this highly secured complex after that. Surprisingly, it was guarded by hardly a dozen men and …equal number of Robot Wireless Webcam.

The agency responsible to protect the secrets hidden in these rooms depended heavily on these wi-fi enabled robots with integrated webcams. The robot cam can operate for about an hour and a half. It needs to return to its docking station in order to recharge its single 6 V 3000 mAh NiMH rechargeable battery. This return can either be performed manually, by sending a remote command from a remote PC or palmtop, or programmed automatically.  An inbuilt sensor guides the robot to go back to the docking station as soon as it detects a low battery. For efficient night operations, the robot wireless webcam can also be equipped with a headlight.
