Infrared Gas Grilling And Charbroil BBQ Grills

Charbroil have been selling low priced barbeque grills since the 50′s. The WC Bradley company is Charbroil and is many other things also.C. .. with may retail and business enterprises. The first grill was a cast iron barbecue charcoal grill. Barbecues got incorporated in the 60′s. Nowadays Charbroil grills are still going strong and doing what they were always doing for more than half a century, with the difference that they are offering their customers even more diversity, more power, bbq grill replacement parts and more options. Even though the charcoal grills are still quite popular, they had their peak of sales as late as 1988. They were loosing ground to the more convenient gas grills especially after portable propane gas tanks were introduced. In 1995 gas grills overtook the old-fashioned charcoal grills, announcing the end of the era of the charcoal grills.

The Charbroil – like most other barbecues – has gas grill burner tuber, range top side burners on a cart with a consistently evolving ignition. Commercial grills are still aimed to sell at the residential backyard user as opposed to restaurants or commercial establishments; the name of the model series just invites the implication that the product is made better, more durable than other products. Charbroil models indicate varied benefits.

Commercial Char-Broil barbecues consist of the following: The commercial models have usually more than two burners plus a side-burner; side burners are usually not available in the non-Commercial barbecues.  The BTU (British thermal unit) of the commercial grill burners is almost twice as high as the home models determining a higher barbecuing heat emitted by the burner. The cooking area on commercial models is near double the size as well. The commercial models have different features throughout the entire product, including the castings, features, lid and, to a limited degree, durability. Sear zones are the newest technology in Charbroil models utilizing ceramic burners that pressurize gas within the burner for intense heat. Thermal Engineering invented ceramic burners that pressurized gas for intense heat back in the 80′s. The infrared grills are based on the principle of heating through radiation (radiant heating). Unlike barbecuing through conduction or convection there is not a loss of flavor with high radiant heating. Operations made everything more efficient.

Charbroil is the only gas grill company that uses to completely divergent styles of infrared grill. Like the original TEC burner used with some Char-broil models there is a separate sear zone above a pressurized gas burner that reached temperatures over 1000 degrees in just a few minutes without closing the lid to capture heat. Newer Charbroils used new heat shield designs to magnify heat from below a single, low-BTU barbeque burner. Different Char-broil models use different versions of the TEC gas grillradiant technology.

A decade ago a grill was a product that cooked very hot at the cooking surface, a barbeque was a cooker that cooked with low, slow wood/charcoal fuel and the middle ground of gas cookers that cook in the 350 – 500 degree range were called gas broilers or char-broilers. The phrases barbeque, barbeque and grill all connote slightly different styles of cooking. Some gas grill companies are still producing products domestically. Some of the leading brands in the industry are Nexgrill, Thermos (acquired by Charbroil), Weber, DCS, Fire Magic, Lynx, Member’s Mark and many others. In fact, they all are still producing the whole variety of barbecue/grill/charbroil grills. New models have copied the latest sear zones created with pressurized gas burners at economical prices destined for the big box stores all over the country. Dealing with TEC to get this technology available was a brilliant and profitable move for Char-broil.
