where can i get a usb internet modem?

sometimes i sleep over at my grandma’s house, but she doesn’t have internet. so i was wondering if i could get a usb adapter that will allow me to have wireless signals anywhere, does such a thing exist? where can i get one?

best buy sells them, and i am sure amazon.com will as well. This will not solve your problem though, as these usb cards will only allow you to access a wireless network that already exists. this means that your grandmother needs to have a modem and a wireless router, with an internet connection. It is possible that her neighbors might have wireless without any security that you could access, but it is very unlikely. Your best bet is to go without internet while you are there :/ but you could also contact your cell phone service provider and see if they offer internet services. If they do, you can pay a monthly fee and get internet wherever you have cell phone service. but that is expensive, and I dont know if its worth it.
