5 Tips to Fix a Slow Internet Connection – Make Your Computer Run much Faster Again!

Slow Internet connection speed can be caused by a lot of things which are usually easy to resolve. Step 1

Check and test your network connection. Make sure that you don’t have a connection that is loose or completely unplugged, because a loose or faulty connection can quickly result in a slow network speed.

Step 2

Unplug your modem and wait a minute. Eliminate any dust or debris that can cause poor contact at the terminals then plug them back in. Usually by resetting a modem, the slow Internet connection can already be fixed. It is necessary for you to examine all of the connections from your modem all the way to your machine.

Step 3

Run an antispyware program on your computer to scan for virus. Make sure your virus and spyware protection is up-to-date, so that the scan can detect any attackers and use the removal function to remove detected viruses from your computer.

Step 4

Clean and free up your hard disk for more available space. Generally speaking, deleting temporary Internet files and applications that you no longer use will help make your computer run efficiently. Besides, it is better to use a system cleaner to clear any junk files and duplicate files accumulated on your computer.

Step 5

Restore a system on your computer. A system restore may be able to avoid any harmful changes you have made to your computer which could cause the slower Internet speed.
