The Web And No-cost Scrapbook Supplies

Because there are so many Internet-savvy scrapbooking supply designers today, there’s an abundance of free scrapbook paper and embellishments. As long as you know how to do a Web search and download files, you can have an almost endless supply of graphics to create delightful scrapbooks. That’s why popular artist Mary Englebreit recently remarked that the Web is a great source of scrapbooking graphics that will yield virtually anything you might need. And she’s an authority on good images; products with her graphics sell like mad!

Babies and Children

Like weddings, little ones invite photography. And, of course, scrapbookers love to use those photos to create family keepsakes. Fortunately, this can be done for next to nothing using just scrapbook supplies from the Web. If you’re not up on baby images, however, you might be surprised to learn that the colors are less traditional than they used to be. Burnt orange, chocolate brown and red are all the rage, as well as a few specific shades of green. Of course, you can still find lots of blue and pink, but these days there are many bold color choices too. And for older kids, there is quite a lot of free clip art that portrays a range of special interests, like gymnastics images and baseball clipart.

Vintage

More and more people seem to be searching for vintage scrapbook designs. Maybe that’s because vintage art is so timeless and doesn’t date the final product to any particular modern era. Cards from times long gone make perfect vintage scrapbooking embellishments, as do clip art images from years gone by. And if you’re lucky enough to find vintage designs on digital scrapbooking papers, you’ll experience digital meeting traditional in a beautiful and useful way. Antique art also covers a range of subjects, including images as diverse as Victorian fashion illustrations, magic show posters, cigar labels, vintage seed packets images, vintage cat clip art and historical sailing ships. So whatever subject you’re trying to cover in your scrapbook, there’s probably antique art to match.

Holidays

Holidays just naturally invite the creation of scrapbooks, since those are the times we gather with friends and family to create special memories. And Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Valentine’s Day aren’t the only holidays that make people want to create scrapbooks; many people are interested in the minor holidays too. You can find lots of patriotic scrapbooking papers and embellishments on the Internet for holidays such as Veterans Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Flag Day. You can also find free Earth Day clip art for Earth Day, as well as images suitable for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and just about any other holiday you can think of; even the off-beat and downright bizarre ones.

Butterflies and Flowers

Scrapbookers seem to love flowers of all kinds, and who can blame them? They work for nearly any occasion. Butterflies attract a large audience too, because they represent summertime, freedom, happiness and other cheerful things. Butterfly and flower images are also diverse, because an abundance of them can be found as both illustrations and photos, and in modern and vintage styles. You can even find butterfly scrapbook paper that sometimes even span both vintage and modern in the same collections.

Weddings

Scrapbooks and weddings are a natural combination, because it’s always been a tradition to have a wedding photo album. But if you can make it a wedding scrapbook instead, you can offer an even more creative way to preserve your precious memories. There is a surprisingly good selection of wedding scrapbook images online that will allow you to create a lasting memento for little or no cost. And if for some reason you don’t find any specifically for weddings that appeal to you, flower images would also be a great choice.

So the next time you need scrapbook designs, check the Internet. You might be pleasantly surprised at the free images you’ll find.
