Why does my keyboard stop responding?

I have a Logitech 350 Internet Keyboard that under Windows XP SP2 will periodically stop responding. I can unplug it and try different USB ports, but nothing works. The first time it happened I tried it on my co-workers MacBook Pro and it worked right away. I bring it back to my machine and then it works fine. What’s the problem? This has happened about 4 or 5 times now.
