Home video phones have hit the market and are making quite a splash. But what are they really, and why would I want one?

 

A home video phone is a regular telephone only it happens to have video capabilities built into it making it so you can see who you are talking to on the phone as well as hear them. To actually try this breakthrough technology for yourself and use a video phone first hand is an absolutely incredible experience!

 

Home video phones are the leading the industry by being on the cutting edge of telecom technology. They are unprecedented, the next generation of communication. These devices are following the trends of how cell phones revolutionized telephones. The cell phone phenomenon completely changed the way we interact as a society with their roaming capabilities. Now, home video phones are beginning to make their mark and once again drastically transform the world of communication.

With a touch of a button time and distance no longer matter. By placing a simple call you can now be in the same place, sharing in the same moment, with whoever you choose, anywhere in the world. This concept is monumental! Home video phones make connecting in person with anyone, regardless of location, a very feasible possibility.

 

Video phones do not run over a telephone wire as regular phones do. Instead they operate over a high speed Internet connection. Being linked through the Internet makes them a digital service, rather than an analog service, thus of a higher quality.

 

Well, how much do these cost then? It must be a fortune? Surprisingly, monthly service fees for these phones usually cost less than what most Americans pay for regular telephone service.  So the question now becomes, why not use a video phone? If you can get superior service quality with video capabilities for the same price as you currently pay, why doesn’t everyone have one? The answer: they soon will. These are the next phase of telephone history. In the near future all homes will have a video phone.
