Why should he choose this over any other course? What are the personal qualities that may be relevant to this course? I will be glad to have any other helpful suggestions about what to tell him to write.

i’m currently taking up computer science and info tech.
in my honest opinion, internet computing is good for publicity and is generally important marketing wise (web design) OR important in firms ranging from super small one’s to huge enterprises by implementing open connection within the company (intranet) via (networking), considering the increasing number of products these days and large business firms expanding, you would never lose a job to land to.

as for software development, you can be a programmer and do just about anything, literally, everything provided you have good programming skills. try asking a professional programmer how much one software costs these days, that would definitely cheer you up.

as for personal qualities, your friend needs to be interested in the course and should have a good background basics of it. i already gave the basics above so your friend should do fine

overall, the course is great provided your friend would take it seriously…other great courses related to computer are NETWORKING specially CISCO, MULTIMEDIA ARTS (graphics in layman’s term), PROGRAMMING, and WEB PAGE DEVELOPMENT.
