Today using coupons is as easy as walking to your computer; either printing a coupon to redeem at your local store, or simply entering a code to redeem your coupon online! Since first being circulated toward the end of the 1990s, on line coupons are being used more and more commonly. Everyone knows that coupons can increase sales and promote products, thats why they are used by retailers. There is a wide variety of coupons available with everything from discounts to giveaways.
To make your use of web coupons efficient, you should know the meaning of the usual coupon words and shorthand found on most lists. The list here is meant to be a helpful guide for you to grasp and remember the abbreviations and acronyms you see most often with online coupons.
* Addy: address, meaning either your e-mail or residential mailing address, or an online site or page’s URL.
B1G1F: Buy one item, get another of the same item for free!
* Barcode: is a computer coding system that uses a pattern of lines, spaces and bars to identify specific products. It can also be used as a “proof of purchase” when redeeming a coupon,used to determine product price and product information and to expedite customer check out.
* CO or c/o: a “cash off” or “cents off” coupon.
*Coupon Code: Customers can type a unique code into a particular field when they check out to enable that the online coupon discount will be applied to the purchase. The coupon codes often have expiration dates.
* CPN: this is the acronym for coupon.
* FORM: questions to fill out to use a coupon. They can be found in retail outlets, on client bills of sale, in newspapers or periodicals, or on the internet.
* Money Plus: promotions that require money besides just shipping expenses.
NAZ means Names, Address, and Zip code.
* NB: national brand products, as opposed to generic or store brand products.
* NED: no expiration date, meaning this promotion can be utilized without an end date.
* OAS: Any one size, signaling that you can use the coupon to buy any size of the product that it’s for.
*PK: pack, as in a pack of cigarettes, for instance.
* PP: purchase price, the cost to buy an item.
* Premium: an item received from a refund offer.
*UNL: unlimited; signifying that you may use a limitless quantity of coupons for a given product.
There are coupons on the internet for nearly every type of product, among them the third costliest item in many residential budgets – groceries. Grocery Coupons have been a source of terrific savings opportunities. Are you a Stay-at-home mom? Do you have internet? then your only a few clicks away from grocery store websites, forums, and newsgroups specializing in grocery coupons, manufacturers’ websites and a whole wealth of information.
