how do you connect from pc to xbox 360 by using wired Ethernet cable?

I want to connect my PC to Xbox 360 by wired Ethernet cable. I don’t like wireless internet connection. My PC built with Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard and built with two Ethernet ports. One Ethernet port used for internet connection from Linksys router. Other Ethernet port I want to connect to Xbox 360 by using wired Ethernet cable. I tried everything on Xbox 360′s web and instruction book from the retail box. It doesn’t work! Can anyone help me to fix it!
