Effective Ways To Receive The Laserjet 5500dn Compatible Toners

HP has used the 5500dn base model to build several of its printers. The HP Color LaserJet 5500dn printer using LaserJet 5500dn laser toner is one of these printers. With this version, HP has included their Jetdirect print server that allows an even faster connecting to Ethernet. Also included is a 500 sheet feeder tray in addition to the MP tray that is included in the base model. An optional stand is also available for the printer.

Built into all the 5500 printers is a 160 MB SDRAM. For more memory, the SDRAM can be increased to 544 MB. Additionally, a 10 GB hard drive can be added that can store often used documents.

The print speed of this model has been increased to the 21 ppm speed for both monochrome and color prints. As is common there is a delay for the first sheet. That delay can range from 18 seconds for an already warmed up machine to 2 minutes for a machine that must be turned on from the cold. A power saving mode does kick in after some time and can delay the first print about 45 seconds.

Connection to the computers in your network is made easy using the 400 MHz processor that is included with this machine. The print driver is a little slow during the installation due to its size. You will need enough memory on the computers for installation.

The HP Color LaserJet 5500dn ink and toner has in-line black or color prints which are applied directly to the paper in a 600 x 600 dpi for either type of print.

As sold, the printer has two paper trays which can accommodate 600 sheets of paper. If you need a larger capacity, you can purchase two additional paper trays that each hold five hundred sheets of paper. To print envelopes, you can feed up to 20 in a stack through the MP tray. The printer accepts sheets of paper that are from letter to ledger in size for printing. It will also print on transparencies, card stock or labels with little to no trouble.

Prints are caught in an output tray that holds 250 sheets at one time. This is the only output tray available so it cannot be upgraded. Sorters are not manufactured by HP for this printer.

This machine is capable of making two sided prints. The duplex printing capability allows these prints to be made without having to run the paper through a second time. You will have to staple prints yourself.

HP includes a one year standard on site warranty for this machine. In addition, the package includes full cartridges of all four toners that are needed to start printing immediately. You will find all the software needed to use this printer with either a PC or Mac computer.

This HP printer using 5500dn cartridge is a reliable printer. It produces your prints very quickly, even if it has to start from being powered off. Prints are less expensive with quality HP toner and you’ll receive additional savings when purchasing replacement toner online.
