How does the Archos 605 wi-fi’s internet plug-in work?

I want to know exactly how the plug-in works and where i can get it for free? And do I HAVE to have the plug-in for the internet to work?
also, where can i buy wifi? will the nintendo wifi work with it?

No offense, but you seem to have absolutely no clue what Wi-Fi is, therefore, I will try to explain it as best as possible.

Wi-Fi is short for “wireless fidelity” which is a type of technology used to have wireless telecommunication over relatively short distances. This technology uses radio waves to communicate compatible devices simultaneously. In order for you to have a Wi-Fi Internet connection, you need: 1. a broadband Internet connection and 2. a wireless router. You’ll also need to set up the wireless router.

You cannot get the web browser plug-in for free since Archos sells you the plug-in with a specific code based on your Archos 605′s specific serial number. You buy the plug-in at the Archos website http://www.archos.com/products/plugins/plugins_g5.html?country=us&lang=en
Once you buy the plug-in, install it to your Archos 605, following the instructions. And yes, you do have to have the plug-in for the Internet to work, unfortunately.
