When an employer is monitoring internet activity can the tell what you have read or just what you typed?

I was on yahoo answers the other day and checking some answers to questions I wrote. I was logged in and wondering if they have a way of knowing the questions I looked at? I asked some questions that I would be embarrassed for my supervisor to know about and I am extremely paranoid. I know better now and will never even pull up anything personal about myself but I need to know if I’m worrying over nothing.

It’s easy to see everything. I use to be a Security person and firewalls log all the connections and can dump packets as they occur. Now if you can use an encrypted client like SSH or ICA you can keep them from seeing what your typing otherwise everything you do is fair game.

They may also be keeping copies of all your email and scanning it or reading it later if they come up with some reason to.

They can also listen to you phone calls and messages
