Computerized Kiosks Can Significantly Improve Levels Of Customer Service

Using self-service or information kiosks means that customers can quickly and efficiently get or find out what they want whilst employees can focus on their core duties. There are many tasks and questions to be answered that are so routine that paying something someone to do / answer them is not very cost effective in the long run. A kiosk is basically like a pre-trained, hard-working employee that you never have to pay. As for customer’s opinions of kiosks, all they care about is getting the service that they want and if a kiosk can provide that then they are more than happy.

So, would a kiosk be a worthwhile addition to your business? These are some possible ways that you could put one to use…

ATM : People hate walking around to find an ATM machine, especially if they live or work away from the center of a town. This problem can be solved by setting up an ATM kiosk in your store or office. If put inside a store, customers will be more likely to make purchases and you will also attract customers into the store who want to use the machine, who then may see something that they want to buy. If put inside an office, employee morale will be improved as it will make their life easier and they will know that you have done something solely for their benefit.

Directions : If your employees are regularly asked for directions, whether it be to find a particular room, where a particular store in a mall is, or something else, then their attention is being taken away from what you really want them to be doing. A kiosk is ideal for having a map on and actually makes it easier for people to find what / who they want, as following directions that you have seen is easier than following ones that you have heard.

Hospitality : Why not welcome your guests, whether it be at a hotel, office or trade show, with an interactive display of what your business can do for them? As well as being able to find out where to go, they can also find out what times things are happening and whether they need to do anything in particular, such as signing in or contacting a certain person.
