Is your Local telco Singnet, Star Hub, etc internet speed seems to be slowing down?
Since the contractors started installing fibre optic cables in flats and these telcos coming up with new expensive high speed plans, do you suspect your internet speed slowing down?
Had called Singnet on my speed problems which remained, and am really frustrated. Would you switch over to fibre optic because of this slowdown? Love to hear as many feedback’s.
I can not speak for Singnet, I work for att, but if they were installing new fiber optic lines for more clients, they might not have upgraded there backhaul (connection back to telco office) so they added more congestion on the same lines which would slow everybody down but because the fiber optic is running faster the speed hit would be less noticeable.
Also some telco’s might use qos (qaulity of service) on their fiber optic lines if they offer voip and iptv on the same lines because both use a lot bandwidth.
Fiberoptic would be faster than dsl or cable, but would not work when their is an power outage
Also it is ridiculously expensive for a telco to setup ftth (fiber to the home)
