How to Design a Browser-Friendly Blog
There are currently many different blog sites on the internet; some made for the purpose of advertising or marketing and some made for sole purpose of documenting one’s daily experiences. With the number of people contending for readership, it’s getting quite hard to keep people following your blog. Promoting your blog is easy enough when you know how to do it but keeping a healthy readership is a totally different consideration.
If people make either a good or bad first impression by their looks, blogs make a first impression that way too. In a sense, a blog’s appearance is the initial handshake you provide to your readers. At times, a blog with good content goes ignored because the design is heavy on the eyes. Creating templates for blogs are becoming simpler these days because most blogs are made on blogging platforms which are similar to making dresses for paper dolls. If you’re doubting why you should bother to design your own template, the reasons are quite simple. Most of your readers will recognize this and realize your efforts. Personalized blogsites pique the interest of readers and visitors. A lot of careful planning is involved in making the design for your blog; at times you really need to sit down to get your ideas together to form a coherent design. To interpret your design into something you can use on your blog, you might use tools like Sitegrinder or other HTML or CSS editor, depending on your stage of proficiency. SiteGrinder can help you create your own website even if you’re not familiar with the basics. Most good designers paste to unassailable design principles that seem to be common sense, excluding that some people still don’t understand them. Here are a few tips just for you:
- Keep your background images plain and make sure it complements your blog’s color theme. Some designers make the unfortunate mistake of using animated or deafening images in the background.
- Make your website load as fast as possible to avoid wasting your readers’ time on loading pages. Some people are likely to put so many bells and whistles on their website that they disregard how people can get impatient with waiting. If you originate your site using slices, it may add to the loading time of the website. Sitegrinder and other web design tools can help you design your site in a combination of HTML and CSS which generally trims dows on the amount of images needed for the design.
- Be conservative with the type of fonts you use on the body of your blog. Using unusual fonts also poses a risk of breaking your site on some of your readers’ browsers. It’s also prudent to use a font color and size that will make your texts clear and won’t put pressure on your readers’ eyes.
Your site’s design will change whether or not people will want to read your site’s content. Cluttering it up won’t support readers to stay and read; redesign your design with your readers in mind.

Autofill $87.99 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Autofill is a function in some computer applications or programs, typically those containing forms, which fills in a field automatically. Most of the time, such as in Internet Explorer and Google Toolbar, the entries depend on the form field’s name, so as to not enter street names in a last name field or vice-versa. For this use, RFC 3106 proposed names for such form fields, but in the HTML 5 specification this RFC is no longer referenced, thus leaving the selection of names up to each browser’s implementation. Application software, also known as an application, is computer software designed to help the user to perform singular or multiple related specific tasks. Examples include enterprise software, accounting software, office suites, graphics software and media players. |

Aus Wikipedia. Nicht dargestellt. Auszug: Galeon is a web browser for GNOME based on Mozilla’s Gecko layout engine. Galeon’s self-declared mission was to deliver “the web and only the web.” At the time of Galeon’s creation, the most popular web browsers, including Netscape, Mozilla, and Internet Explorer, were large multi-functional programs. This made them slow to start and often impractical due to their high memory usage and processor requirements. Galeon was the first mainstream graphical web browser which specifically focused on the reduction of peripheral functionality. Galeon is also notable for introducing “Smart Bookmarks,” bookmarks that take an argument and can be used as toolbar buttons with a text field used to enter the value for the argument. Galeon’s initial development team split in 2002 due to disagreements about the target audience. This split led to the creation of Epiphany, a fork of Galeon. On October 22, 2005, the Galeon developers announced plans to stop development of Galeon in its current form, saying “the current approach is unsustainable” in the resources required for maintenance. Instead, they hope to develop a set of extensions for Epiphany to provide similar functionality. …http://booksllc.net/?l=de |
