I’m Having Trouble With My PS3 Blu-Ray Player

PS3 Laser Problem PS3 laser problem has been often reported recently. Many gamers tried to replace their laser, but that still didn’t solve the problem? Why? What on earth one should do to fix PS3 laser problems?

First of all, let’s look into this PS3 problem. How can you tell you have encountered laser problem with your PS3? You can judge with the following symptoms: games load slower than usual, some or all discs fail to spin, message “Disc Read Errors” appears on screen. And if the games keep skipping or stop in middle of loading, you may also have a PS3 laser problem.

Actually, laser problem on PlayStation 3 is natural. Because PlayStation 3 laser is easily damaged by scraped disc, or just accumulated dirt. Therefore many gamers choose to replace it with a new one in the first place when getting laser problem. But most of them reported the same problem after the replacement. Why?

The general consensus is that one need to replace a new complete PS3 laser assembly. Actually when I first come across PlayStation 3 laser problems, I replaced the laser itself and it worked. But within 24hours, the problem appeared again or maybe worse. I replaced with another laser and another. But that didn’t work. PS3 Hardware Failure

Under the suggestion of my best friend, I finally bought a laser unit (the KES-400A) which cost almost the same as the laser itself. Now I can enjoy my PS3 again.

I think many of the devoted gamers have to experience of installing a laser. Beginners may have trouble with this part of repair work. I am here suggesting you learn from a reliable PS3 repair guide. Remember to choose a repair guide with step by step instructions of photos and videos.

By the way, the repair manual that I use is Rob Sheffield’s PS3 Lights Fix Guide.
