It has been my experience as an electronics salesman that we rarely get returns or repair requests for the Sony Blu-ray players. Of the three you have specified I would recommend the Sony then the Panasonic and finally (only if you really have to) the Samsung. Unless you are getting a very good deal and savings, I would stay away from refurbished products. Also we get a a lot of returns on Samsung DVD/Blu-Ray players for what ever that is worth.
