Taking Advantage Of Free Internet Service

Are you tired of paying high broadband bills? Maybe things are financially tight, at present. Some types of broadband, like satellite, may just be too expensive. You do not have to pay for Internet access.

There are several ways that you can hook up online, for no charge. One way is to borrow a wireless signal. Suppose you are interested in baking deserts. Do you buy several cake decorating books, when you can borrow them at the library? Most newer laptops have built in wireless Internet adapters. Take your portable computer to one of many public places. You will find free wireless Internet. There are many places available.

If you live in an apartment building, there may be several wireless routers in operation. You will need to be careful with these connections. If you simply use the Internet for email and occasional surfing, no one will notice. You will not be zapping a great deal of bandwidth. Why pay for Internet if you do not use it often? Although some may think that this is signal stealing.

Ask your neighbor if you can borrow the signal occasionally. Offer to only use it when no one else is online. Even if your neighbor uses a password, you still may get to use it. Your conscious can be clear.

You can still take advantage of free dial up access. It may be a step down from what you are used to. Maybe you do not mind going from a fast Schwinn mountain bike, to a tricycle. In that case, free dial up is a good option. Consider how you use the Internet. If it is mostly, chat, email, and simple browsing, dial up will work. If you have a land line phone, and do not mind ads, consider free dial up. You may get as much as ten hours a month.

Free dial up services will work well for emergency use. At times, your broadband connection could be down. This may last for several hours, or days. Dial up Internet is better than no Internet. It works well for email, and chat services. You can also surf the Web. However, it will be much slower.

Final thoughts

You might be unaware of some of the free Internet options. Take your laptop to many public places. You will find free Internet, everywhere. Ask your neighbor if you can borrow his wireless signal, when no one else is using it. There are still free dial up services, too. Dial up may be compared to old bicycles. Broadband can be compared to Diamondback bikes. However, your Internet needs may be simple. Ten hours a month, with a slow connection is better than nothing.
