HP Deluxe Webcam KQ246AA – Camera not found.?
I installed the CD, and when i go to operate the webcam it says: Camera not found. The camera is either being used by another application or is not connect. Make sure the camera is connected and working properly, then try again.
I have tried several ports and then it started working for about a minute then all of a sudden stopped and gave me that error. no other programs are using it. any suggestions?
If you have a lot of USB devices plugged in (say keyboard, mouse, external drive, wireless) the total draw can sometimes exceed 500mW on a given port so the new device doesn’t sync properly.
Go to device manager. check each USB Root Hub, under the Power Tab. If you have a lot of devices you need to invest in a small power USB hub.
If not, check the connector, or force a hardware scan – in Device Manager right-click computer and select scan for hardware changes.
