is mcafee anti virus plus 2011 ok or should i install a internet security program?

i would like to know if this mcafee anti virus is good enough to do my online banking and personal stuff. is a anti virus program as good as a internet security? i was given a norton internet security 2011 recently and i was wondering if it is worth installing as the mcafee seems to be ok. what is the differance between the two? thank you for any information.

Mcafee anti-virus program is ok, but you will get better protection from Norton Internet Security 2011 which is the top security suite at most sites that test security suites. There would be no reason not to use it. Microsoft Security which is recommend in one of your answers, really isn’t in the same league as Norton, in fact it isn’t even one of the top free programs. Norton Internet Security has very good features for online banking with safe search, and Web Protection.
